Summary: That Sandren survives his capture and journey north is a
tribute to his supreme selfishness and his fury. Once sold into
slavery, his arrogant disdain won't protect him from those who wish
to own the emir's pure, untouched scholar, but it may prevent
him from recognizing the one who can save him.
