December 9, 2003 I made this announcement quite a while ago on both my Live Journal and on my Mailing List. But somehow I forgot to make the same announcement here >_< Y_Y I'm so sorry!! Well, here's what my ML's message said: //No update... *don't kill me* Y_Y ^_~ But an announcement! I have joined forces with the wonderful and talented Paddy! For you who may not know her, she is a great woman and a great writer. We have got ourselves a domain recently, and this is to forewarn you all that my site will move at the beginning of the next year. We will share the spot, but will still have our own sites. So nothing else will change, other than that there will be a new URL for my site, and that the look of the site will change. I'm sure you will love Paddy's work as well. AND!!! There will be no more pop-ups and commercial banners ^0^. Paddy is also a very generous person, and it is she who is paying for the domain the first two years. In exchange I am building her a site, as she didn't have one before. So in between preparing to move my own site and building a totally new one + a lot of RL work lately, there hasn't been much time to write Y_Y This whole new-site-project should be finished by January 2004, that is our goal. I hope you will all have patience with me in the meantime. And it IS possible that I will be able to post some written work before that as well, I just don't dare to make any promises right now. October 23, 2003 A much bigger update this time ^__^ First a new Guest on my site!! dolphin wrote a fic for for me on my birthday, which was in August ^^ But good art can not be rushed. Here it is now in the Guest section Then, after one year exclusively on MAS-Zine my fic 'Lynn' is now returned to me and I have posted it here on the site, now in its entirety, and it's a rather long one, over 100 000 words. A whole long story all at once, not something my poor readers are used to I think ^^ (I know I'm terribly slow on updates Y__Y) Well you can read it in the Bibliotheca Doloris of course.

October 18, 2003 A small update this time as well. I've had much RL work lately, and simply haven't had the time to write Y_Y But here's a little art. June 25, 2003 *CONGRATULATIONS* To myself ^_^ *Points to Wildchild's wonderful picture above. (Don't you just love how he still has the price tag left?) ^0^ * Yes, today this website celebrates its very first birthday! I've had much fun with it. It has given me opportunities that I never dreamed of and I've come in contact with a long row of wonderful people through it. So it's near and dear to my heart. I hope I will have time to keep it up and maintain it in the future too. I've planned to stay on for many more years (threat or promise? ^^) Well, my fiction page has had (at last check a few minutes ago) 6989 hits during this first year. Considering how small and relatively unknown this site is (I've been very bad in promoting it on the net and no one I know in RL have access to it.) That it has 99% original fiction and almost no fanwork. And that the fiction is of a kind that probably does not appeal to everybody. I consider 6989 a very good result. Thanks to everybody that has visited my site and who keeps coming back. And thanks to all those who have sent me such nice mails about my writing. You don't know how much that means to me. Thanks also to those who have linked me, who has joined my ML, who has published me, reviewed me and archived me. Thanks to my guest writers & artists who have contributed to this site. Thanks to all the support and advice I've been receiving… Well, THANKS you all ^___^ Oh my, turned into a regular Oscar speech, didn't it? How embarrassing ^__^ Well, I've been working on a big site renovation and so in time for the anniversary here's the re-designed version #2 of this site. A bit more order, a bit easier to navigate, I hope. It's somewhat re-named too, called simply Francesca Bathory Fiction & Art now. 80% of the contents from the last version is on this version too but a few things of mine, that didn't really have all that much to do with the theme of this site, has been removed. I am planning on moving the whole site as well eventually, I'm fed up with the pop-ups, but for now the same URL applies. "Stop babbling, what about UPDATES???" You say. Do I have any today? Yes indeed I have. 1) The final, extra long, chapter of Saved + epilogue Yes this story is now at its end. It's a very ambiguous feeling since I've lived with it for such a long time. I started writing on it for quite many years ago, long before I even had started thinking about posting my stuff on the net but only wrote in secret for my own enjoyment. But now as the story in itself is finished it's time to start all over on it, with editing, cleaning up, rewriting and betaing so for me there's still a lot of work to be done on it and I don't have to part with it just yet ^^ Expect a cleaned up and slightly revised version of it up eventually. 2) Chapter 10 of The Red Braid I will now try and write more on this story since I'm through with that monster of a story mentioned above ^^ Chapter 11 is half done as well and will probably be posted soon. 3) Chapter 6 of Private Property This rather shallow piece of smut ^^ will also be paid more attention to now I hope. 4) Wildchild made the hot anniversary pic for me but she also made four new images for her own gallery to further add to this day's extra extensive update. And some hot ones they are too, believe me ^^ 5) Miscellaneous news The Gift has been the slightest bit revised and beated by Nomalaz, thus re-posted. Burning Witches has also been a bit cleaned up and re-posted. My art site Blinded Angel Art has been a bit re-designed too and re-named (for the hundredth time, can't make my mind up about that damn site it seems >_<). I have created a sort of About/FAQ page that is still somewhat under construction. And I have also created a M/M net fiction rec. page, which is very much under construction. My only fanfic Steel Engagement also betaed by Nomalaz, has been an itsy bitty bit revised and re-posted. 6) Since the site is slightly renamed I have a new banner. May 30, 2003 Re arranged my link's page totally. Sorted all the links into new categories, made the whole page cleaner and less messy (I hope ^^) And added 33 new links while I was at it. (May have removed about five too.) That was all, no big update. Though it took me several days to get the shit finished ^^

May 19, 2003 I'm back from my trip to Poland/Germany but I'm still busy as hell. Squeezing some writing in is impossible I'm afriad, for a few more weeks. But Silent surprised me with another illustration to 'Saved' (pretty, pretty Seka) and I have put him in her gallery Go and take a look!

May 2, 2003 This will probably be the last update for a few weeks. On Sunday I'm going to go on a trip to Berlin and Krakow for a little over a week. As soon as we come back it's time to prepare for the last big exhibition in school before we quit and then as soon as school quits I'll be moving again. I'll be really busy until about the end of May but after that I'm hoping for a lot of time to devote to writing. But here's the news for tonight: A new chapter of Saved! That's chapter 24. February 25, 2003 There's a new chapter of Saved this time. Chapter 21 is finally finished!! *** And a bit of general information: The Crow Cage Torture Cell The Executioner's Song Runaway What's up with these fics?? I get questions now and then about these fics and requests to finish them (or post them as in the case with the executioner fic) and I have given all sorts of answers I'm afraid. Mostly because I have been very unsure myself about what to do with them and I have been changing my mind back and forth about them, but now I've decided. I have no intentions of abandoning them! They are, however, put on ice. I'm sorry but with going to art school I have very little time to write and maintain this site as it is and I've decided to concentrate on the bigger, newer and on-going fics. That's 'Saved' 'The Red Braid' and 'Private Property'. Until those three are finished (or well on their way to become so) I will probably not touch the others. That includes the few fics that are finished but are in considerable need of betawork. I will get to all of it in due time but it might take a while. None of this is written in stone. Inspiration is a very strange thing and it's not impossible that I will get a sudden urge to work on something I haven't touched in a long time, other circumstances might make me change my mind too but don't take that as a promise ^_^ The same goes for completely new projects. There are plans for several but as things are now it doesn't seem likely that I will post any new fics on this site until I'm getting somewhere with all the old stuff. Thanks for putting up with this rant ^^ and I hope it cleared things up for those who have asked me, and for those who might have wondered but haven't asked.

February 3, 2003 Hi you all. There hasn't been much real updates lately, I know. I've been very busy in school. I have been preparing for an exhibition and it has taken up all my time, day and night. And my muse seemed to have left for greener pastures too. Well, I hope this update will act as a compensation. I have Chapter 8 of The Red Braid up. My art site has been renamed, it's now called 'Blind Art' and it has been a little bit re-designed too. Most importantly, it has been moved to a new URL which my RL friends and relatives have no access to, which mean I can now link between my sites and make them more integrated. There's a link to my art site on my link page and there's a big banner for it here as well, if you want to visit. A few new links. And a new image in Wildchild's gallery. Lastly, All new things will hereafter be marked 'New'

January 19, 2003 I have finished next chapter of Private Property. Also, a while ago I started a mailing list for site updates but hesitated to put the link to it here and start to use it since I thought I might not have that many readers who would be interested. But I have got a few requests for one so here it is: It Won't Hurt And you can find the link to it here and there throughout the site if you want to join. I will use it for chapter updates and any larger changes. If am only posting a single drawing or add a few links I will only mention it here. I have also re-arranged my M/M recommendations a little bit.

January 12, 2003 I asked one of my RL friends who happens to be a poet, among many things, to give me some of her poems and she even ended up writing a few specially for this site. So I'm very happy today ^^ You can read them in the guests section under the pseudonym 'red knight' That's all for today.

January 7, 2003 Hello all of you! Hope you all have had a great start on the new year. I'm back from the woods and have a few updates tonight. Managed to borrow a scanner when I was away and therefore there are a few new pieces of artwork in the Ars Miseria Galleries Seven new images to be exact! There is also a new chapter of Saved, that'll be chapter 20 Hope you'll enjoy it, Seka didn't ^__^ I've also removed all the Swedish material on this site. I didn't have much anyway and I don't think anyone read it. Not even Swedish people read this kind of fiction in Swedish ^_^ So from now on everything will be in English on this site. And now, I'd better go to bed, school starts tomorrow and I am staying up way too late as usual. Goodnight!
