Naked man with blood drenched sword
Ink & Watercolor Painting
This is a method I use now and then. It's easy in theory but requires
a bit of patience. I first paint free hand with watercolors,
no sketching. Then I follow the nuances of all the different shades
created, and outline them. Depending on how many differences in
nuances you see (and how much patience you have ^^) you can take the
outlining very far. I like how it creates a sort of mosaic, or "glass
stained" feeling to the painting, or makes it looks withered and like
it's falling apart. I "invented" this method all by myself in my teens,
and I haven't seen anyone else doing it exactly like this, so far.
But sure, someone else has probably thought of it as well, independant
of me.
